Style file: Winnie Couture – Oh so lovely!

July 16th, 2009 · No Comments · Uncategorized

So one of my loves in life is fashion. I’m no fashionista but I can’t resist looking at pretty dresses, pining away for well-constructed designer shoes, or judging people who buy ugly overpriced luxury brand jeans. (That’s harsh I know, but I won’t lie!)

As I was browsing a few fashion Web sites today I came across these bridesmaids dresses.

If I was super ultra girly, this would’ve been the part I would’ve squealed. (Not to be confused with just super girly.) So I wanted to put this on the record for future reference. Not necessarily for a wedding… but maybe for an equally fabulous event in the future. The dress above is Winnie Couture’s Yvette dress, I love the color – it’s so rich, the crystals on an empire waist, and the sweetheart neckline. Oh yeah, and there’s taffeta… swoon!

Winnie Couture’s Reese dress is pretty in pink. Maybe it was inspired by Legally Blond?  The lace, the bow, and the a-line dress is so perfect. This one might be my favorite of the bunch.

This is Winnie Couture’s Suzette dress.  The shape of the dress feels very high-fashion to me.  I think the color is pretty unique too. I love it, not totally crazy about it, but it’s definitely a contender.

Winnie Couture’s Shandi dress. It’s a stand-out color and I’ve seen it used, but I’m not completely sold on it. I like the bottom of the dress. Not convinced on the first half.

This is Winne Couture’s Tristan dress. It may be a bit too girly for me, but I love the mermaid flare-out with the bow.

The dresses are from their 2008 collection and combines everything I’d look for in a dress – something classy and stylish with a dash of fun. The Web site doesn’t show the cost of each dress. I’m guessing they are $251 – $30o, according to a price range found at brides.com.

The nearest shop is in Beverly Hills, 9393 Wilshire Blvd. It’s one of two  flagship salons. The other is in Texas. Check out photos of both shops on Winnie’s Facebook profile.
