New York: Yankee Stadium

June 4th, 2010 · No Comments · travel

From the Sex and the City-filled afternoon next up was an experience on the opposite end of the spectrum. We headed to the new-ish Yankee Stadium forĀ  the game against the Cleveland Indians last Friday night. Bought a hat, a hot dog and a diet pepsi then kicked up my feet because we had seats in the front row of our section!

{@ Yankee Stadium – Section: Terrace Infield 326, Row: 1, Seats: 9, 10 }

I found a great deal on these seats by accident. I was ready give Ticketmaster over $30 per ticket for crummy seats near the moon, but I noticed StubHub had a prominent spot on the Yankee’s ticketing page online. I did some research and decided that infield terrace seats were the way to go. Typically these tickets go for $70. Thanks to StubHub I got them for $41. It was a seamless transaction. I was able to print our tickets right away!

On this particular night the Yankee’s Robinson Cano hit a grand slam while I was chronicling Derek Jeter’s trip around the bases. The result is this awesome sequence of shots of Jeter.

I don’t understand why he’s such a baseball star, but that’s probably because I don’t typically follow baseball. It was an awesome experience to see him in action though!
