Grill ‘Em All

I recently had an epic eating experience with my foodie friend/up and coming blogger celeb in Orange County, Niyaz. Seriously, there were so many people who recognized him while we were waiting in line. (To me, he’s just the cool guy who used to sit next to me in the newsroom.) He ordered a massive burger, actually a behemoth to be precise, that lived up to its epic proportions of a name. It was ba-na-nas!

On Friday we headed to Fullerton¬† to check out food truck Grill ‘Em All’s exotic burger menu. I knew what I was in for because I’ve been keeping tabs on their progress as they compete in Food Network’s “The Great Food Truck Race.” (Sooo addicted to that channel!)

The behemoth, an off the menu item, includes two grilled cheese sandwiches, which serve as buns, a seven ounce hamburger patty, beer soaked onions, bacon and Mosh Pit BBQ sauce.

He nearly polished off the burger in its entirety. I had a bite – Wow, it was over the top! It’s not something I would order, but definitely worth trying.

What I picked was the Samoa Joe burger,¬† dressed in pineapple, cheese, beer-soaked onions and slathered in the truck’s signature Mosh Pit BBQ sauce. Sweet and tangy delicious!

So glad that the food truck culture has really picked up in Southern California. Love that the food comes to me,¬† there’s so much variety and it’s cheaper than eating at a restaurant!
