Fun with Parents

October 27th, 2010 · No Comments · travel

Yes, I used fun and parents in the same sentence. Thats how I know I’m getting old! Last Friday I played third wheel on one of their dates when I learned they were headed out for breakfast and an afternoon of wine tasting. They have done this a couple times already and they rave how fun it is. It probably helps they’re enrolled in a wine of the month club at a Temecula winery. It was such a lovely time and much appreciated since it’s rare that all of our schedules coincide for hang out time!

The sleek decor, plush seats and cozy fireplaces instantly qualified Journey’s End at the Pechanga’s Journey golf course as a  very “Lindsey place.” (That’s what my Mom would say!) This breakfast and lunch restaurant is very reasonable with an average $8-$9 a  plate. The Sunday brunch menu also looked very scrumptious! It’s quite possibly Pechanga’s best kept secret. Never new this place existed and they don’t advertise it with a sign on the grounds. Such a fantastic view of the rolling hills and delicious food. Shared a carafe of coffee with my Dad, mmmm!

{Ranch Style Eggs – So yummy with the eggs ordered over-easy!}

Next we headed to Callaway Winery to pick up my parents’ wine of the month selection. Their membership comes with a complimentary wine tasting session for two. It was such a gorgeous day in the vineyard. Can you believe the view?
