Awards season is here! Break out the tissues. Not going to even try to play it cool – I’m willing to admit acceptance speeches get me teary-eyed especially when winners are genuinely wrapped up in the moment. Those moments are truly inspiring to see someone who has had the determination to persevere in a fickle industry, put in the hard work and pursued a dream. I saw the clip of Chris Colfer winning a Golden Globe for best TV supporting actor and I got the warm fuzzies. Just look at the reaction of the cast, they are so happy for him and his message – so sweet.

Quote of the night: “Most importantly, to all the amazing kids that watch our show and the kids that our show celebrates, who are constantly told ‘no’ by the people in their environments, by bullies at school that they can’t be who they are or have what they want because of who they are. Well, screw that, kids,” Colfer said.

Backstage he told reporters he wants to “sleep with my award… to really make sure it happened. Usually when I win this is when I wake up.”

What a dream.
