Hi there! I’m Lindsey.  Welcome to my blog where I write about food, fashion, my adventurous frolics around Southern California and wherever else my travels take me.

I’m a 20-something journalist in Southern California. Other places I’ve lived are Florence, Italy; Evansville, Indiana; and Malibu, California.

I’m curious about almost everything. I eat random facts for breakfast. I’ve got pockets full of stories. I can’t resist impulsive adventures, great food and good books– all of which I plan to blog about here. Happy reading!

    Hi Lindsey,

I’m getting ready for a yearly LA girls getaway… can you give me some tips and ideas of things to do while we are there… something off the beaten path!

Thanks and keep up the good work on your site!

    Dear Lindsey,
Congratulations on being named Hollywood editor of Patch. As a Hollywood resident please allow me to suggest a subject that I believe merits covering: the proposed Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Museum of Motion Pictures, to be build on Vine Street, just north of Fountain.

An entire block has now been cleared of operating retail stores to make way for the museum, yet apparently there are issues with regard to get the project funded.

I think this museum would be a world-class attraction, with benefits – both cultural and financial – to the entire LA community. But I don’t see our elected officials, including Eric Garcetti and the Mayor’s office, getting behind it with ideas for government bonds or other financing measures. Of course the museum would not only create jobs, but expand the “new Hollywood” further south along Vine Street, which is a major gateway to Hollywood.

    Thanks for your consideration.
