A starry night at the museum

May 4th, 2010 · 2 Comments · Uncategorized

It was prom night for the rich and glamorous at the 2010 Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala Benefit, which brought out a galaxy of stars, socialites, media personalities and fashion designers in New York. For me, ooohing or bleh-ing the the red carpet arrival photos from this night are right up there with […]

The colorful, cute, and imaginative stuff from Tokidoki now has a home in my backyard! Vinyl Pulse has some good shots of the new store and a peek at the VIP party that kicked off the Melrose grand opening. Last year I gave a co-worker for Christmas one of the small blind box toys bought […]

Would you rent-a-dress?

December 8th, 2009 · No Comments · Uncategorized

I love this idea. How many times have I browsed a shop on Melrose longingly petting the pretty frocks? More than I care to admit! All The Rage did a little write up on a new recession-inspired deal at House of Petro Zillia. Just in time for all those holiday parties, this LA designer has […]

Style file: Must have booties!

August 18th, 2009 · No Comments · Uncategorized

Urban Outfitters is having a pretty good sale on their flats right now but of course while browsing I realize I don’t want flats. I want these babies, with 3-inch heels! They are peep toe booties from We Who See, $39.99. The reviewers (I love that feature) say the shoes are actually pretty comfortable.

Style file: Miley Cyrus and Max Azria at Wal-Mart

August 14th, 2009 · No Comments · Uncategorized

I love it! Bought a couple $8 shirts from Miley Cyrus and Max Azria’s line for Wal-Mart and I’m not ashamed! Went to the store to buy some shampoo and was surprised to be confronted by this in the clothing section as I walked in. I can’t resist a good deal. If I were a […]

Style file: Winnie Couture – Oh so lovely!

July 16th, 2009 · No Comments · Uncategorized

So one of my loves in life is fashion. I’m no fashionista but I can’t resist looking at pretty dresses, pining away for well-constructed designer shoes, or judging people who buy ugly overpriced luxury brand jeans. (That’s harsh I know, but I won’t lie!) As I was browsing a few fashion Web sites today I […]
